I have no one rule for all the different massage contexts and environments I might find myself in. However on the whole there's nothing better than letting it all hang out from the start. Unrobing or unclothing rituals can be a playful and meaningful way to both get naked prior to the exchange.

Draping is for modesty in commercial massage situations to avoid accusations and recriminations and straying over boundaries. In our situations, where there's a high degree of mutual trust, there's really no point, and draping just gets in the way . We've all seen each others bits, so there are no astonishing surprises to shock. I would only want draping if the room wasn't warm enough.

As a longtime nudist, a nude massage is very liberating and can be very satisfying. Skin to skin contact is so relaxing and allows for a freer range of expression by both parties. The body is an amazing creation that should be celebrated.

No draping is my personal preference, but the most important preference here, is that of the person being massaged, and their sense of safety and comfort, so I would never try to pursuade a receiver out of their own preferences.

No draping allows for full body massage without always rearranging drapes and the worry of getting oil or lotion on clothes. Allows for a fully relaxed setting, but ultimately depends on participants level of comfort.
