Due to a recent sports injury to my hands this was the "first-half" of a swap - we agreed that I'd host the swap, and return the exchange next month.
All I can say to sports38 is thanks for a fantastic massage - a perfect professional massage therapist, and it isn't even his main job! I felt totally relaxed and at ease throughout. A pleasant and engaging guy, and a credit to this site. Look forward to returning the favour. If you get the chance I strongly endorse sports38 - useful chats about technique as well. |

| My first swap after a break of a few months and I'm pleased to say it was a really great experience. marcusp is a generous host and coming in from from the cold and the rain (it took me a while to find his address!) he had the room all ready with music and candles. He had a gel which he kept on the radiator - perfect way to get your hands all warmed up! The massage was great, a good combination of firm and light strokes and I've picked up a few tips. All in all a very pleasant evening and I hope to meet up again when I'm next in Edinburgh. | |

Sagittarian originally contacted me months back - since I've been travelling a lot with work, it's taken a while to set up an exchange but the Bank Holiday provided an ideal opportunity. He ended up hosting and has his own table and a nice chilled out space with panpipe music, helping me to relax after the journey to Southall. We went more or less straight into the swap without any discussion and I massaged him first.
From a recipient's perspective I liked Sagittarian's technique, however I did leave feeling a little short-changed. He contacted me that morning to reschedule the massage to later in the afternoon as he got a booking from a paying client, what I hadn't agreed is that we'd be cutting our time short. The massage I received was only about half an hour and this hadn't been discussed - the one I gave was more or less an hour and I do always ask if there are any areas or knots that a client wants me to go back to before I finish. Also I found it odd that he had baby oil for swaps and better quality ones for paying clients, I don't think that's in the spirit of what the swap is about, so gave him some of my own to use. I wasn't in any particular rush but I think he might have been. I guess it is always worth spending 10 or 15 minutes at the start chatting, setting your expectations and talking about the massage you want and what you can offer, I do hope we can swap again sometime though as I did like Sagittarian's technique. |

Also, I mentioned that I did not have any oil left hence why you brought yours. Please make sure that you give EXACTLY the same amount of time you receive |

I have just returned from a week travelling and working in Wales and by far the highlight has to be dropping in on Thursday evening to swap massages with docw. More than made up for the freezing weather and long hours driving!
I was made to feel welcome and at home right from the start - docw spotted me parking the car and came outside to greet me and take me inside, he is an creative and intelligent guy and we enjoyed chatting over a cup of tea both before and after the massage itself. And his dog Cwtch is every bit as friendly! I only had time to give docw a 20 min session on his shoulders and back, but I received the whole body treatment; thorough, deep, unhurried and professional. Highly recommended and I really hope to swap again either here in London or back in Wales. I was inspired to hear him talk about his massage training and am now thinking of doing a course myself so I can offer him a much better treatment next time. |

| Tonight was the first time I've hosted a massage, and teetoe was really chilled, relaxed and friendly guy - a great experience. Although not formally trained, he's picked up a lot from being a massage 'model' for courses and I liked his energetic and confident technique, coupled with attention to detail.
